JUNIOR DAY CAMPS
BSC will continue to offer its
highly successful clinic program for grades 1-4. The JUNIOR DAY CAMP is known for its structure with a teaching philosophy without
sacrificing the fun approach that helps young players to learn the skills and
techniques of soccer in an an enjoyable fashion.
KEY POINTS
OF THE PROGRAM
The clinic is COED for players
in Grades 1-4.
- All players
receive a T-shirt and a ball.
- The mission of the BSA Junior Camp is to create a fun and positive training environment for younger soccer players to learn and enjoy the great game of soccer.
- The emphasis is on learning the
basic skills and techniques. Our aim is to give players a good
foundation for them to play soccer so that as they get older develop
appropriate techniques.
- Technically we aim to give
the participants a lot of touches on the ball. We stress ball control
continually as a major first step in developing the budding soccer
player.
- Tactically we keep things
very simple and age appropriate with “Coach Ferrigno’s Compendium of Fun
Soccer Games!” This creates lots of 1v1 soccer games which are
enjoyable and competitive in a controlled, fun environment.
- We also play competitive games to goal so the youngsters experience the fun of scoring goals!
- Looking for
something to supplement your town program or maybe even get a little bit more? The BSA Junior Day Camp may be the perfect solution! The program is structured and
instructional but is fun, fun, fun as appropriate for young soccer players at
this age. The BSC program covers all the bases!
- A Full Day
(9am-4pm) is offered but please bear in mind that whilst many kids can cope
with a full day for others. The 9am-12 noon or 1-4pm halfday camps are great
options!
- For
prospective goalkeepers checkout our Goalkeeper program. For grades 1-3 (for
those who signup for full-day) it is mandatory for halfday goalkeeper
training/halfday field player training. Grade 4 can do the same but are old enough to do a full day of goalkeeper training if they so choose.
